FL is a great program but it's a bit more "beginner-ish" than Logic is.I keep hearing this beginner thing from a lot of people. That being said, Logic is geared to be more professional than FL. Until you count in "extras" like webcam, a microphone, the full version of the operating system, a beginner's DAW, back-up software, antivirus software, and so on. It sure as hell does, especially when PCs are much, much cheaper. See the logic (pni) behind that? Well I don't. Would just like to point out that no DAW other than Cubase can fully support VSTs since for a DAW to support them, the developers have to reverse engineer Cubase. There is no better DAW than FL8 for VST support.

Good luck, hopefully someone else will provide a more valuable perspective than just "this program sucks." If you're fine with paying for legit shit, you'll be in great shape on Logic. If you want to use all the free VSTs you're going to have a tough time on Logic. So consider the type of music you're making. One thing is that it runs on Audio Unit architecture which is a bit different from VST technology. I love the interface, the environment, the features, the plugins, instruments, etc. I would recommend getting more advice on that program from someone more classified than myself.įor Logic, it is currently only on Mac. You can do most of the stuff, some things are a bit difficult to get to. That being said, FL is a great program, it's just different and has a different feel than many of the DAWs out there. I have no experience in the program, but from what people tell me, when you're using it as a DAW, it's a bit troublesome to get the same results as with other, more professional programs.

Can you create music in whatever DAW you're using. The real question is do YOU like the workflow of the program. If it's Mac or Windows, who gives a shit.

Right so, in all reality, it doesn't matter what platform you're on. This is valuable information, as anything that is for a Mac is essentially not good. If it's only for Mac, then it's probably shit.
